The “hot streak” indicator will now be displayed on applicable tournaments on PGA TOUR leaderboards. When a player’s current round qualifies as “hot” an animated “hot streak” indicator will highlight their current round score. Keep an eye on the action and be sure to open their scorecard to see their progress.
A variety of factors play a role in determining whether a player is hot, highlighted by a positive shift in the PGA TOUR’s win probability model. The proprietary feature – developed by the TOUR’s Digital and Data and Decision Science teams – provides the foundation for hot streaks, as players whose win- or make cut-probability increases rapidly over a short period of time qualify for the indicator. The TOUR’s digital team then refines the logic by adding layers of scoring-based rules around holes under par.
Launched in 2020 and continuing this year, the PGA TOUR captures every shot live from THE PLAYERS Championship. Fans around the world can follow groups live on platforms such as ESPN+ and Canal+ in France. Feeds from nearly 120 cameras will be distributed from the new PGA TOUR Studios, enabling the TOUR to deliver more player competition coverage on our broadcasts, websites, and social media platforms for THE PLAYERS than for any other event throughout the season.
Off the course, player profile pages are being rebuilt to become more personalized and dynamic, giving fans more information and ways to connect with their favorite PGA TOUR players.
Offer sports fans more statistics and new ways to engage with PGA TOUR tournaments by making data more accessible and consistent with how fans consume sports. Just as a team’s win-probability is a storyline during a football or basketball game, the probability of a player making the cut is now available on PGATOUR.COM and the PGA TOUR app. The Friday cut is being covered more extensively in the broadcast and on social media, with a special focus on dramatic near-misses and near-makes, elevated stakes and the emotional reactions that sports fans crave.
At this year's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, every shot from both Pebble Beach Golf Links and – for the first time – Spyglass Hill Golf Course was available on TOURCAST on the PGA TOUR app and website. Additionally, a player stat comparison tool is available, giving fans more to consider as they build their rosters in the revamped PGA TOUR Fantasy Golf, which launched ahead of the 2025 season.
Create broadcast and online experiences that drive deeper fan engagement, especially for international fans. To generate more international player coverage, PGA TOUR Studios will launch the World Feed at THE PLAYERS Championship, featuring graphics, editorial insights, data and player footage focused on international players and tailored for audiences outside the United States. Similarly, the PGA TOUR is testing an enhancement within TOURCAST that showcases player content based on a fan’s home market and delivers personalized in-app notifications connecting players with fans from their home countries.
